PFC Power Supply Evaluation Board Development
Supports better component selection for more efficient conversion.
This is a 3.6kW interleaved CCM PFC power supply evaluation board.
Power supply capacity sufficient to drive fan motors and compressors in air conditioners, refrigerators, etc.
By using Minebea Power Semiconductor Device Inc.’s SSRB synchronous rectifier device and ANBON SEMICONDUCTOR (INT'L) LIMITED's SiC device, we have confirmed that better efficiency is achieved across the entire load range.
Additionally, an Allegro Microsystems current sensor on the low side enables high-performance current detection.

Evaluation Results
01Full-Wave Rectifier Circuit Evaluation Results

Using Minebea Power Semiconductor Device Inc.’s SSRB, we confirmed an efficiency improvement of 0.86 points at 15% load compared to a competitor’s low-VF bridge diode.
Further improvements in thermal design are expected to further improve efficiency.
02PFC Diode Evaluation Results

Using ANBON SEMICONDUCTOR (INT’L) LIMITED’s SiC devices, efficiency was improved by up to 0.62 points under heavy loads compared to other SiC devices in the same price range.
03Current measurement accuracy comparable to that of other measuring instruments.

Using the included expansion board, you can measure current consumption. High-performance measurement with an error of 0.01% compared to the PW3337 power meter.
