President Message

TACHIBANA DEVICE COMPONENT CO., Ltd traces its origins to Hitachi Micro Devices Co., Ltd. and Hitachi Electronic Devices Co., Ltd., which later merged to form Hitachi Semiconductor Devices Co., Ltd. Following the establishment of Renesas Electronics Corp., our operations within Hitachi Semiconductor Devices was integrated into Renesas as Component Division of Renesas Sales Co., Ltd.. This Component Division became the foundation of our current organization.

At that time, the Component Division was engaged in the development and manufacturing of module products that integrated Renesas semiconductors with peripheral components. It also handled the sales of the proprietary-developed control boards and a variety of semiconductor products from other manufacturers, including Hitachi, Ltd., Renesas Electronics Corp., as a distributor.

In 2013, we became a subsidiary of TACHIBANA ELETECH Co., Ltd.. Since then, in addition to our long-standing product offerings, we have focused on manufacturing IoT-related edge devices. These incorporate advanced sensing devices that meet increasing market demand, along with detection processing ICs/SOCs, algorithms, and communication modules, including semi-finished board-level products that function as components of these devices.

To remain competitive in the electronics industry, which is increasingly driven by cloud computing and big data, we continue to leverage our experience and expertise to deliver solutions across a wide range of products, including embedded enclosures, semi-finished products, board assemblies, semiconductors, and electronic components. Through these efforts, we aim to contribute to the creation of a more convenient, safer, and more enriched society together with our customers.
